Amazon's Kindle is the eBook breakthrough application; it's moved the technology away from just books, into newspapers and more – and unbelievably the 3G version allows free web browsing when you’re abroad, even when you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.
Discounts are rare, but there's currently a code to get £20 off £150 spends at Tesco Direct making the 3G Kindle £132 – sadly it won’t work with the standard Kindle, so that's still £111.
