£80 refurbished Kindle Online from Amazon Warehouse

Amazon's Kindle is the eBook breakthrough application; it's moved the technology away from just books, into newspapers and more – and unbelievably the 3G version allows free web browsing when you’re abroad, even when you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.

Current top deal
Amazon Warehouse, Amazon's legit outlet, sells returned refurbished items. It's currently offering both models of Kindle at a seriously reduced price.

• £80, Wi-fi Kindle*, usually £111
• £116, 3G & Wi-fi Kindle*, usually £152

What does refurbished mean? Amazon won't explain in detail but its Warehouse site says it receives a returned product, checks the item works and assesses the quality before selling it on.
It only comes with USB adaptor (so you can charge via a PC but you can buy a main socket adaptor for around £5.

You do get a full one year warranty. All refurbished Kindles come with a standard one year warranty (see full details). This means if something goes wrong it will repair or replace your Kindle (possibly with another refurbished model).

It's also worth noting the fact it is refurbished has little impact on your consumer rights – it still must obey the Sad Fart rules and be ‘Satisfactory quality, as described, fit for purpose and last a reasonable length of time.
How much stock is available? Amazon won't confirm how much stock is available but the page will update as and when it runs out. It's possible more stock will come in.
What's the return policy? The standard refund policy applies to Warehouse items, you have 30 days to return your Kindle if you change your mind.
See the Amazon e-book sale.

£132 3G Kindle with code (usually £152) Special code gets you £20 off

Moneysavingexpert Spot

Amazon's Kindle is the eBook breakthrough application; it's moved the technology away from just books, into newspapers and more – and unbelievably the 3G version allows free web browsing when you’re abroad, even when you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.

Discounts are rare, but there's currently a code to get £20 off £150 spends at Tesco Direct making the 3G Kindle £132 – sadly it won’t work with the standard Kindle, so that's still £111.

To get the offer call 0845 600 4411 (option 1, then 2) and quote the code TDX-KYRA.

The offer's only available over the phone until 11.59pm Thursday 23 June and you'll need to collect it at your nearest Tesco. See full details of the Kindle at Tesco Direct*.

Tesco originally had 800 3G Kindles in stock; these have sold out but 1,500 more will be available from Thursday. It may add more - we'll keep you updated here.
