This week's poll: Have you tried to reclaim PPI?
Banks have set aside about £13 billion to pay victims of PPI
mis-selling, with over £6 billion already reclaimed. It's free to do yourself
(so don't pay a claims company), while banks are supposed to write to victims
to offer money back.

Question of the week
Q: Why do I have to give my name and
address for shop refunds? Is it a legal requirement?
Sandra, by email.
MSE Helen S's A:
No. They may ask for your address to send repaired goods or where a
replacement is not instantly available. But they can't demand your details.
The store might want your details to keep track of customers
returning goods to deter "serial returners", or to make sure
refunds are legit and not staff taking money from the till.
Remember, according to the Sale of Goods Act, shops are only required
to refund/replace faulty
goods, not if you simply change your mind. Though many have a returns policy
which lets you take back goods (in saleable condition) you don't want.

Frappucino reserve banking?
As MoneySavers know all too well, banks get away with an awful
lot that wouldn't be allowed in any other institution, but how would it be if
the tables were turned? Check out this video where a pop-up coffee outlet in
London's financial district plays the bankers at their own game: Scamming the bankers.
We hope you save some money,
